How To Use CHARBOX

Using CHARBOX With Your Grill

  1. Open both the top and bottom grill vents of your grill.
  2. Remove the top cooking grate and place the CHARBOX on the charcoal grid. If you prefer to grill on indirect heat, or are smoking meats, move the box to one side.
  3. Ignite the wicks located on top of the CHARBOX, also ignite the paper bag placing a matchstick through the top grate.
  4. When flames calm down (10-20 minutes), carefully replace cooking grate on the grill. 
  5. The CHARBOX will be ready to cook in 30-40 minutes from lighting.

 

Using CHARBOX As Stand-Alone

  1. For adequate ventilation, place the CHARBOX on the metal stand provided. 
  2. Ignite the wicks located on the top of the CHARBOX, also ignite the paper bag placing a matchstick through the top grate.
  3. Leave CHARBOX uncovered. 
  4. The CHARBOX will be ready to cook in 30-40 minutes from lighting.

Clean Up

  • Allow the ashes and CHARBOX to cool completely before discarding. NEVER dispose of a hot CHARBOX.
  • No need to clean your grill.
  • Dispose of the CHARBOX in a safe manner. The entire package and box is recyclable.

Safety Guidelines

  • Make sure ashes are cold before discarding. NEVER discard a hot CHARBOX.
  • NEVER use gasoline or other flammable liquids to light CHARBOX.
  • Do NOT add lighter fluid to CHARBOX at any time.  
  • Do NOT use CHARBOX inside homes, vehicles, tents, or any other enclosed area. It should only be used outdoors. 
  • Keep CHARBOX away from flammable items, such as tents, campers, overhangs and trees. 
  • Keep away from hot CHARBOX surface.
  • Keep CHARBOX away from children and pets.
  • Store CHARBOX in a cool, dry, safe place.
